Support for Myanmar: Bringing Relief Amid Crisis
Introduction
Myanmar is facing a devastating crisis, with communities struggling to recover from ongoing natural disasters and the effects of years of conflict. Reaching The World Ministries, led by Roger and Mary King, have been working in Myanmar since 1987. They are committed to providing immediate aid and long-term support. Your help is essential to bring hope and restoration.
The Current Situation
• Damaged Infrastructure: Churches, parsonages, and children’s homes have suffered severe damage. Reconstruction cannot begin until aftershocks subside, with a recent 5.1 magnitude quake further delaying efforts.
• Water Scarcity: With electricity outages, access to clean water is critically limited. Communities are in urgent need of sustainable water solutions.
• Food and Medical Shortages: Many families lack access to essential food and medical supplies.
• Displaced Families: Ministry team members and residents are forced to sleep outdoors as their homes are unsafe.
Reach The World Ministries has taken swift action:
• Funds have been sent to purchase a generator for the Mandalay church, ensuring access to water.
• Support has been dispatched to supply clean water, food, and provisions for displaced ministry members.
How Can You Help?
Your contribution can make a direct impact. Here’s how your support will be used:
• Provide clean water for a family.
• Supplies essential food and medical provisions.
• Contributes toward purchasing additional generators.
• Helps in rebuilding damaged structures.
